Fanny
Bergman de Rakover was
born on july 26th, 1936 in Resistencia, Province of Chaco,
Argentina.
She began her art studies with her father, León
Bergman. Afterwards, she attended the Fernando Fader´s
Plastic Sachool of Art.
She finished her highest academic teaching studies in
Drawing, Painting and Engraving with Theoretical and practical
formation which complements her natural talent.
In the search for developing her artistic personality
and finding that expression in which to evince her special
“vision” of the world, she adopted Urruchúa,
Belloc and Cárdenas as teachers.
In 1973 she took up Batik art, with an unconventional
approach, in a self-taught way.
It was there that she found the elements to reflect her
maturity, where to innovate, changing the traditional
image of this millenary way of expression.
Since 1985 she has been part of plastic research group
lead by master Emilio Renart, as well as part of the Gen
Group, Led and inspired by him, and oriented to to the
development of creativity applied to plastic expression.
In 1988 she finished the development of the material and
the technique for creating her sculptures.
In 1990 she exhibited her sculptures for the first time
in lagar Gallery in Buenos Aires.
Her artwork is currently found in institutions and private
collections in more than forty countries on five continents.
At present she owns a workshop and art Gallery to which
she devotes all her time.
They are located in the old traditional neighbourhood
of San Telmo in Buenos Aires. |
